Swallow tattoo
An original american traditional design of a swallow in flight with an empty ribbon banner. See it on your own skin through the camera before you book, free in TattooLab.
What a swallow tattoo means
Sailors earned swallows for every 5,000 nautical miles because the birds always return home. Today they stand for loyalty, freedom and a safe return.
Placement and size
It works best on the chest, which suits wide, symmetrical designs.
Style and how it ages
American traditional uses bold black outlines and a limited palette of red, yellow, green and black. Bold outlines and saturated colour are the reason traditional flash ages so well; expect only a light touch-up after many years.
