What a spine ornament tattoo means
A spine ornament follows the body's own line and is mostly about elegance and strength. Many people see it as a personal backbone: what holds them up.
Placement and size
It works best on the back, where there is room for a large, detailed piece.
Style and how it ages
Blackwork relies on bold outlines and solid black fills. Solid black is the longest-lasting ink, so blackwork stays crisp for decades with little more than sunscreen.
